Staff with a DisabilityThe University of Melbourne has a commitment to provide a working and learning environment that does not discriminate against people on the basis of disability. Information regarding the University's Employment Program for People with Disabilities is available from Section 21.3 of the Equal Opportunity Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual. The Human Resources Department has produced a guide entitled Employing People with Disabilities, that has been specifically designed for managers and supervisors. The Equity and Diversity Unit have also created a guide called Strategies for Inclusive Communication: Interacting with people with a disablilty that provides advice on how to adopt Inclusive Communication practices.
